| Dead Zone
In the beginning (Dragonball),
Kami landed on Earth and created the 7 legendary Dragon Balls. To become
pure of heart, the Namek separated into two forms- one good and one
evil. The evil replica had a son, who became known as Piccolo! After
battling Goku, Piccolo faced defeat. Because Piccolo and Kami are so
related, they held a bond of life. When one perished, the other died as
well...
Garlic Jr., a rival of Kami,
decided to kill Kami through the destruction of Piccolo. As a result, at
the beginning of the movie, Garlic Jr. sends his henchmen to kill
Piccolo. After a battle, Piccolo escapes with barely his life.
Garlic Jr. decides that he
must get stronger so he seeks the Dragon Balls to be granted the wish of
immortality. Gohan, meanwhile, wore a hat that had the four star dragon
ball on it. So he gets kidnapped for his hat. (He does not know how to
fight at this time.) Then, Goku goes to rescue his son with Krillin. At
Garlic Jr.'s black island, Goku and Krillin are joined by Piccolo. Goku
and Piccolo fight and kill Garlic Jr.'s henchmen. Krillin finds Gohan
and carries him and looks for a safe place to hide. Meanwhile, Kami
faces Garlic Jr. and gets beat up. Goku and Piccolo finally find Garlic
Jr, but Garlic Jr. has already been granted his wish! Garlic Jr. changes
into his muscular battle form and fights Goku and Piccolo. Goku and
Piccolo are beaten. Garlic Jr. praises how strong he's become and
creates a portal that would suck everything into a world of eternal
nothingness (Kami did the same to Garlic Jr.'s father). Gohan regains
consciousness and sees the threat of Garlic Jr. He gets angry and blasts
Garlic Jr. through his own portal. Garlic Jr. is sucked into the
dimension of nothingness for eternity and all returns to normal. At the
end, Gohan forgets all that has happened and returns home with Goku.
Here, the first alliance
between Piccolo and Goku is shown, and Gohan's secret powers are
revealed for the first time...
The World's Strongest
Oolong steals Bulma's
Dragon Radar to locate the Dragon balls. (Oolong wants to make a wish
for a girl's underwear.) He and Gohan are in the northern glaciers to
find the Dragon balls, but Dr. Wheelo's assistant, Dr Willow, wishes for
Dr. Wheelo to be freed from his icy tomb. Gohan and Oolong go near the
lab to investigate, but are attacked by bio-men. Piccolo rescues them,
but is defeated by three androids. Meanwhile, Gohan and Oolong escape.
A few days later, Dr. Willow
appears with bio-men in the Kame House and kidnap Bulma. She is used to
lure Master Roshi to Dr. Wheelo's lab in the glaciers. In the lab, we
meet Dr. Wheelo. It turns out that he is a giant brain functioning
inside a giant machine. 50 years ago, Dr. Wheelo and his lab were
destroyed and buried in ice. Now that they are released with the help of
the Dragon balls, Dr. Wheelo wants to find the strongest man on Earth
and take over his body. (He believes that Master Roshi is the strongest
because Master Roshi won the martial arts tournament at the time he got
"iced".) Next, Master Roshi is put in a secluded room to fight the three
androids that defeated Piccolo. Master Roshi is defeated with ease.
Meanwhile, Goku is on his way
to rescue Bulma and Master Roshi. Dr. Wheelo's computer picks up Goku's
signal. Bulma sees it and exclaims that Goku is the strongest man, not
Master Roshi. Dr. Wheelo wants to see if this is true and sends his
three androids to fight Goku to see if he's really as strong as Bulma
says he is. Goku fights them and is soon joined by Gohan and Krillin.
They kill the androids and find Dr. Wheelo. Here, they meet with
Piccolo, who is brainwashed by some golden straps placed around his
head. Goku and Piccolo battle while Gohan tells them to stop fighting
and gets kicked by Piccolo a few times. Because Dr. Wheelo brainwashed
his idol (Piccolo), Gohan gets very angry (and you know what happens
when he gets angry) and releases a shockwave that almost breaks the
glass that holds Dr. Wheelo's brain. This shockwave releases Piccolo
from Dr. Wheelo's control. Meanwhile, Krillin tries to rescue Bulma but
ends up running from Dr. Willow's machine-gun arm. Master Roshi escapes
Dr. Wheelo's prison and aids Krillin. Bulma is freed.
With the tie of the battle
turning, Dr. Wheelo gets angry. It turns out that the machine Dr. Wheelo
is placed in is really a robot built into the lab. Dr. Wheelo unleashes
his body (thus destroying the lab) and begins to attack our heroes. The
robot seems unable to be defeated, but Goku creates the spirit bomb
while Piccolo and Gohan try to hold him off. Goku successfully blasts
Dr. Wheelo with the spirit bomb and kills him. It's a VERY feirce
battle, watch it if you ever get the chance!
Afterwards, the good guys stand
together and joke that Master Roshi is really the world's dirtiest man
and Piccolo walks away.
The Tree of Might
The Z crew are camping in a
forest. Meanwhile, Turles and his crew are looking for a planet with
rich energy sources that can support the life of their special tree.
(This tree grows by eating away the energy of the planet it grows on.
Whoever eats its fruits can receive a huge amount of energy- Turles and
his crew want the power from the fruits.) One of Turles's space probes
crashes into the earth and starts a forest fire. This probe tells Turles
that Earth is a planet capable of supporting his tree. At the same time,
Gohan, Krillin, and Goku battle the forest fire and saved the wildlife
living in it. Here, Gohan saves his pet. The Dragon Balls are then used
to restore the burned-out forest.
Back in the Kame House,
King Kai transmits the news of Turles and his plot to Goku. Goku tells
the rest of the Z crew about Turles and they head out to destroy the
energy-eating tree that has already been planted. Goku, Gohan, Yamcha,
Krillin, Tien, and Chautzu all do fireballs against the tree, but the
tree remains unharmed. The Z Warriors then encounter Turles's henchmen
and they battle. Piccolo joins the fight. At the end, all the Z Warriors
are defeated except Goku and Gohan. Gohan runs into Turles and
misunderstands him for his father. (Turles and Goku look exactly alike,
but are not related. Turles also has darker skin.) Turles trashes Gohan
and realizes that Gohan is a Saiyan. He asks Gohan to join him in the
Saiyan Conquest, but when Gohan refuses, Turles creates a false moon. He
forces Gohan to look at it and Gohan's tail grows back. As you can
guess, Gohan turns into a were-monkey. Goku, trying to get to Gohan, is
blocked off by some of Turles's crew. He easily disposes of them!
Gohan loses control as a were-monkey and starts trashing everything.
Goku tells Gohan to gain control and go after Turles, but he doesn't.
Then Gohan sees his little animal friend he met in the woods earlier.
He begins to play with it and Turles gets angry, at that, he fires an
energy ball at Gohan. Even though Gohan is a were-monkey, he is still
no match to Turles and Turles uses Distructo Disc to cut off Gohan's
tail. Gohan turns into a small boy again, unconcious.
Now only Goku and Turles
remain. When Goku refuses to join Turles, they fight. Turles whoops on
Goku, Goku isn't really strong enough to take on Turles. Turles sees the
tree now bears fruit and grabs one, he takes a bite. He receives an
enormous amount of power and slams his elbow into Goku. Turles then
gives Goku a huge amount of rapid blasts to the chest. Turles flies off
above. But, Goku keeps telling himself that he must save the Earth so he
cannot die. As a result, he creates a small Spirit Bomb with what's left
of the Earth's power, which blasts Turles through the tree. Both Turles
and his tree are destroyed. Upon the tree's destruction, energy is
released are restores it to the damaged Earth.
